1. Teaching content:

l General language level: (from level 1 to level 5), besides conversation we most emphasize, Chinese character, reading, writing and press and so on, are able to be taught. School should define the arrangement and design for all kinds of students’ ability in interview time. For example, for level 1 there are 15 topics such as:

l Mandarin+(management +finance +business)-------

Chinese Character Writing: Classes introduce the radical system, bushou, composition of characters, stroke orders and basic characters

Our school will hold a Chinese Cultural Lecture. This Lecture is about Chinese Character. One teacher will give us an introduction of Chinese Character’s origin, history, classification, structure, and so on.

☆ Business

Business Chinese course means you must be a veteran at least G-3 in Chinese language. We serve the general topics involved in Chinese business situation, such as negotiations, attending a formal meeting, making an appointment, signing a contract, etc. You can also choose some topics which have a close relationship with your career.

☆ Internet Class  

Our online course has a very professional teaching team, and you can have your lesson face-to-face. The course is composed of various kinds of lessons such as daily life situations, business situations, Chinese culture essentials, and reading the newspaper. From the preliminary to advanced level. You will learn speaking, reading and writing at each level.

 

Junior method:

l Less than 40% of the teacher’s explanation.

Senior method:

Stimulate students’ speaking, supervised, corrected and trained by the teacher.

 

2. Teaching conceptions:

1) Main ideas of Chinese teaching in Beijing Mandarin School:

A. Student’s speaking mainly: students’ speaking will occupy more than 60% of the time, and the teacher’s will occupy less than 40% of the time. Learn to speak is only in speaking instead of listening and reading.

B. Not strictly follow the textbook: the teacher will select the most important expressions from the book and combine them with the student’s background, so that the student can learn the living language instead of the dead language from the book.

C. Content focus: every session should not contain too many new points. For the beginners, from 5-12 within one session is better, rather than giving 40 points along with teacher’s explanation without time of training.

D. Training process:

2) Training:

4 steps at least on each point and have the student use them:

A. Student’s repetitions lead by the teacher.

B. Questions & answers on the content mentioned in repetitions.

C. Substitution after a small survey of vocabulary.

D. Performance or demonstration of the student’s ability.
